Climb Kilimanjaro
Stand at 5,895 meters above sea level. Join our expertly led expeditions with high summit success rates and ethical porter treatment.
A Journey of a Lifetime
Kilimanjaro is a non-technical climb, but the altitude is the challenge. Choosing the right route for acclimatization is the key to success. We prioritize 7+ day treks to maximize your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak.
Lemosho Route
Our top recommendation. Lemosho approaches from the west, crossing the Shira Plateau. It offers stunning panoramic views and a longer acclimatization profile.
- Duration: 7-8 Days.
- Difficulty: Moderate to High.
- Highlights: Shira Plateau, Barranco Wall (scramble), Lava Tower.
- Crowds: Low traffic on the first few days.
Machame Route
Known as the "Whiskey Route". It joins the Lemosho route at Lava Tower/Barranco. It is steeper but very scenic.
- Duration: 6-7 Days (we recommend 7).
- Difficulty: High.
- Highlights: Shira Cave, Karanga Camp, Stella Point.
- Crowds: Can be busy in high season.
Marangu Route
The "Coca-Cola Route". It is the only route with sleeping huts instead of tents. It has a reputation for being "easy" but actually has a lower success rate due to rapid ascent.
- Duration: 5-6 Days.
- Difficulty: Moderate (but poor acclimatization profile).
- Accommodation: Shared wooden huts.
- Best For: Those who absolutely cannot sleep in tents.
